BETRAYAL AT HOUSE ON THE HILL (FR) - 3e Édition
In Betrayal at House on the Hill, players take on the roles of explorers investigating a creepy old house made up of different rooms. Each time you enter a new room, you expose yourself to serious dangers. The explorers change throughout the game, depending on how they handle the house’s surprises. The house is different every time you build it.
During the game, one explorer becomes the traitor and turns against their former companions. The other explorers become heroes fighting for survival. From that moment on, the game becomes a battle between the traitor and the heroes—until death follows.
Betrayal at House on the Hill includes fifty different scenarios, each telling a unique story.
Your Mission
Venture into this mysterious house.
During the game, make your explorer as strong as possible until the traitor is revealed. After that, your goal will be to complete your objectives based on your role as either a traitor or a hero.
Gameplay
Each player explores the house in turn. On your turn, you can take as many actions as you want, in any order:
- Movement: You can move according to your character’s abilities.
- Discovering a new room: When your explorer enters a doorway with no room on the other side, draw the top tile from the room stack.
- Using Item and Omen cards: All explorers can use items. Some monsters can too, if the rules allow it.
- Rolling dice: Several times during the game, you may roll one or more dice. Each die has faces with 0, 1, or 2 points.
- Attacking: Once per turn, you can attack an opponent in the same room. When attacking, roll a number of dice equal to your Might. Your opponent does the same. The player with the higher result wins and inflicts physical damage on the loser.
During the game, one player will take on the role of the traitor. The game then changes dramatically. From that moment, two factions face off—the traitor on one side and the heroes on the other.
